In September of 2021, I was re-elected for the 5th time as the “MP for Winnipeg North.” Back in December of 2015, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appointed me as the “Parliamentary Secretary to the Government House Leader”. Back in 1988, at age 26, I was 1st elected to the Manitoba Legislature. In total I was elected five times representing the riding of Inkster for almost 20 years (a few months short). As the MLA for Inkster I held a number of critic roles including Immigration, Health, Housing and Labour. During the 80’s I served in the Canadian Forces for just over 3 years. After my training I was posted to Edmonton where I served as an Air Traffic Control Assistant until I left in 1985. Born in Winnipeg back on January 22, 1962. Attended Public School in Winnipeg and Saskatchewan and studied at the University of Winnipeg. Since leavig the Candian Forces I have lived in te communities of Weston, Tyndall Park, Shaughnessy Park, Garden Grove and I now live in The Maples

For about 30 years I have been going to McDonalds every week on Keewatin Street as an informal way to meet with constituents. NOW- every Saturday from 10am to 2 pm I and or my daughter Cindy (MLA for Tyndall Park) will be ther.

Canada Day in Tyndall Park For about 30 years I have hosted a Canada Day celebration on July 1 in Tyndall Park, first as the MLA for Inkster and now as the MP for Winnipeg North
Celebrating Canada’s diversity is what my fall event (October) is all about. It is a two hour event held in the Maples.
Out reach Issues I am very serious about bringing a voice on many issues from Winnipeg North to Ottawa such as the Pandemic,Inflation, Long Term Care, Seniors, Mental Health, Enviroment, Reconciliation, Jobs and Training, Small Businesses, Housing, Pharmacare and more. Every six weeks I host a virtual town hall inorder to share some thoughts listen and answer questions.
